Vadim Karasyov (aka Karaska) is a freelance artist and graphic designer from Kiev, Ukraine. He has been engaged in serious creative work since 2013 or 2012, after difficult years of searching for himself and his essence as a creative person. He is an engineer by education. So he had to study and develop art on his own. For Vadim, this is a most amazing journey, a journey into the depths of oneself. Today, he exhibits artworks at various art festivals in Ukraine and in Europe. He carries out private orders, works with a number of musicians and photographers. He is inspired by such artists as Giorgio De Chirico, René Magritte, Jeff Jordan and a number of modern artists such as Maurizio Cattelan. Often the plot lines of his works are inspired by the books of such classical writers as Jorge Luis Borges, Franz Kafka, André Breton, the poetry of Arthur Rimbaud and so on. “I am interested in the theme of the mystery of dreams and reality, mixing them, moving from one to another. These two worlds are interrelated and equally important, they exist, complementing each other and forming our reality.” Said Karaska.
